On the Process of Learning SEO

This past few day, I’ve been reading articles on how to do SEO in order to improve the visibility and increase the monetization of this blog.  I been blogging for almost two months and now I am earning a dollar per day on its ads. It was quite low compared to those established blog site who earned more than a thousand dollar per month. But I know I am on the right track, all big things starts from small things right?

The Philippine election trend gave me a large boost on traffic last May 10 reaching up to 11 thousand page impressions, sadly I didn’t make much money from it. Besides, I used that opportunity to experiment on my ad placement, and able to improved after 2 days but with a sudden decrease on traffic from 11k to 5k but managed to earn me 10 dollars, my CTR or click-through-rate also increased from 0.36% to 2.57%. Now, I have an stable page impressions of 1k- 1.5k and a ctr of above 1.5% earning me  a dollar per day. Improving isn’t it?

As this blog post title say, I am on the process of learning SEO with the help of online resources and forums. I gain knowledge on  SEO and at the same time gaining new friends who are inclined to the same field. I find it complicated at first because I am not yet familiar with the terms in SEO like the on-page and off-page optimization and etc. I even joined my first  SEO contest for the keyword “Engrape Financier” not hoping to win but to have a first hand experience on SEO.

I know it is still a long way for me but I will work hard on it.  I am also planning to launch a niche blog soon and it will be announced here on my personal chopsuey blog. (Chopsuey because it has a random topics)
