Intel i5 2500 2nd Generation Processor “Sandy Bridge” at Gilmore
On my previous post, I told you guys that I went to Gilmore to buy some computer parts. If you don’t have an idea what is Gilmore, well it is a place in the Philippines wherein there is a lot of shops for computer parts. It seems like it was a black market for clone computers and of course prices are a bit cheaper here. It is a good place to shop if you are buying computer set for a computer shop business. If you want to know how to get there in Gilmore from Cavite, you can check my post “How to Commute from Cavite to Gilmore?” post.
I was able to buy 2 computer parts, the processor and the motherboard. For the processor, I bought an Intel i5 2500 2nd Generation Processor also known as Sandy Bridge Processors. I bought it for 9,495 pesos or $215.80 dollars which is a very good deal I guess because some shops sell it for 9,950 pesos or around $228 dollars. This processor uses four cores and has a clock speed of 3.3 GHz with a Turbo Boost Technology that can boost clock speed up to 3.7 GHz with a 6MB Intel Smart Cache. Another thing I like about this processor is that it has a built in graphic processor which is the Intel HD 2000 and a lot more features. You can check other features here.
The processor uses a new motherboard socket which is the LGA 1155 that’s why I also bought a new motherboard which is the GA-H67MA-UD2H from Gigabyte. The board cost me 6,750 pesos or $154. I choose the H67 chipset so that I can use the built in IGP of the Sandy Bridge Processor and I’m not into overclocking the processor. So if you are planning to overclock, you have to get the P67 board.

I hope that I will be able to experience the visually stunning performance like never before from Intel 2nd Generation Core i5 Processor. If you want to view the cool commercial of Intel i5 processor, you can watch the short film by Intel “The Chase”. If you like my post, feel free to subscribe and leave a comment. Have a good day guys.
